Fighting It Naturally

Hola! I'm blogging from Canada ... burrr. It's been a nice few months since returning, but now the weather is cooling down =( We've had frost twice, and many days requiring our coats & toques & scarves. So, if you happen to think of us Canadians in pity, send up a prayer for an Indian summer. 

This post is to continue on with a few more ideas & things that we do naturally to help us stay healthy. My last post on this topic included:

Essential Omega Oils for joints and cognitive brain function (Omega 3) - I take fish oils & D3 (5,000 IU 3x per day) Another great way to naturally get Vitamin D is to get out in the sunshine for at least 30 minutes a day if possible. I envy all you living in a warmer climate that can do this year round =)

Casein Removal - 80% of the protein in Milk is Casein. When you consume casein, your body is seeing it as a foreign protein, and you land up producing histamines which end up as mucus. That's why it's mucus forming. This process takes 10-12 hours.
Let's not forget the law of replacement ... people use milk everyday in so many different things. So, substitute Cows Milk for Almond/Rice/Hemp milk. I personally use and LOVE Almond milk. We either buy non-GMO Almond Milk or make it ourselves. We have a great, simple recipe =)

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) - MSM is great for so many things. It helps detoxify the body and increase blood circulation, it relieve stress, inflammation, etc ... the list goes on. I get a glass of warm water, dissolve 1 tsp, and drink as often as I remember. Anywhere from 1-4 times per day.

Alfalfa  - Most CF patients are on either on ADEK's or SourceCF or some other form of Vitamin K. Vit K is excellent for blood vessels and much more. We started using Alfalfa in January of this year. We buy it in bulk and make them into pills for daily use.

Colloidal Silver - Kills virus' & bacteria ... I take it only when I'm sick, or if I feel something coming on.

The Nutritional Supplements I take (product name not listed on my blog) include Vitamins & Minerals, Enzymes (natural ones), Probiotics, Carbohydrates, Phytonutrients, Phytosterols, and Antioxidants.
